Manchester United Football Club is based in Old Trafford stadium, Greater Manchester, the largest club football ground in the United Kingdom, with a capacity of 76,000. Founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, the club changed its name in 1902 to Manchester United and moved to Old Trafford in 1910.

 

Manchester United is reputed to be the most popular football club in the world, with the highest average home attendance in Europe and the widest football club fan base in the world.


 

Manchester City F.C.

 

Manchester City Football Club plays at the City of Manchester Stadium - near 48,000 capacity. Founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton), they became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 and then Manchester City in 1894. Manchester City is said to be one the richest football club in the world mainly explained by the wealth of the club owners.
